Frank Eichstaedt

May 13, 1943 — March 12, 2023

Frank Eichstaedt, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 12, 2023. He was born May 13, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jayne; his son, Brian (Brandy) and granddaughters Reegan and Ella; his sister, Mary Daniels; and many nieces and nephews across the country. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jay.

Frank attended Parson’s College in Iowa and the University of Florida before earning his Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University in 1968, where he and Jayne met. They were married in 1972 at St. Ita’s Catholic Church in Chicago. They moved to Boulder in 1975 where Frank began a 30-year career with the US Postal Service. Frank always impressed the family with his knowledge of multiple subjects, especially arts and history. His knowledge of aviation was only exceeded by his enjoyment of model airplane building. Frank had an interest in many outdoor activites. He was an avid fly fisherman, who was often more absorbed in the beauty of nature than in reaching his catch limit. He enjoyed scuba diving, downhill skiing and golf. Frank will be missed. The impression he made on his loved ones will never be forgotten.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 27 at 10:00 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Please visit www.greenwoodmyersfuneral.com to offer condolences.
