Frederick Hagen Arneson, affectionately known as Rick, passed away on February 18, 2026, in Lafayette, Colorado, at the age of 80. Born on January 22, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, Rick lived a life characterized by simplicity and an unwavering love for his family and friends.
Rick is survived by his devoted wife, Cammie Arneson, and his two beloved daughters, Denise Arneson and Kristen Bales Arneson. As well as his seven sisters: Earline Ragsdale, Diane Voake, Rose Lucius, Margaret Spendlow, Barbra Jane Barton, Madonna Marie Gray, and Kathleen Sue Barnhill. His warm spirit and steadfast presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his living family, Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Earl L. Arneson and Ruth S. Arneson, and Francis Theodore (Ted) Arneson. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of his surviving loved ones.
Rick's life was marked by his genuine connections with those around him. He found joy in the simplest moments, valuing the times spent with family and friends. His legacy will live on in the sense of togetherness he fostered throughout his life.
A Rosary service will be held on February 25, 2026, at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Erie, Colorado, starting at 12:00 PM, followed by a Mass at 12:30 PM. Following the Mass, Rick will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The services are a testament to the impact Rick had on the lives he touched and the love that binds his family and friends together.
