Gregory (Greg) Paul Rogers passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on June

15, 2026, at the age of 70. Greg was born on May 1, 1956, in Summit, New Jersey to

C. Paul Rogers, Jr. and Betty Lee (Bets) Rogers (Graham). At the age of 11, he moved

with his family to Birmingham, Michigan, and then Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where he

graduated from Lahser High School. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts

with Distinction from the prestigious California College of Arts in Oakland, California.

Greg had a 20-year career in graphic design and as a program manager in the

automotive industry in the Detroit area before eventually moving to Boulder to be near

his beloved Rocky Mountains. In his later years he enjoyed giving swimming and skiing

lessons to children, worked in a ski shop, and, because he loved dogs, had an active

dog-sitting business.

Greg's passion was the great outdoors and its beauty, and he loved hiking, camping,

and fishing. He especially treasured the mountains, and he hiked and camped in most

if not all the National Parks. He relished being off the grid, hiking and camping for two

or three weeks at a time.

Greg was a gifted artist, producing beautiful pencil or ink drawings which he willingly

shared with friends and family. He was also a talented photographer, particularly of the

outdoors. He was an expert skier and a licensed sailplane pilot who enjoyed the solitude

and beauty of soaring. He was always an avid music lover, attending many concerts

with friends over the years and amassing an impressive vinyl record collection, never

tiring of spinning LPs on his turntable.

Greg had a very giving nature, enjoyed people from all walks of life, was kind to

everyone and a loyal friend to many.

He was predeceased by his parents and by his brothers Steve Rogers and Scott

Rogers. He is survived by his half-sister Ursula Gerads of Henderson, Nevada, and

half-brother Paul Rogers of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by nieces Heather Heck

and Jillian Berlanga of San Antonio, Texas; Ruthie Massey of Jackson, Mississippi, and

Michelle Carter of Las Vegas, Nevada; and nephews Bill Gerads, Jr., of Phoenix,

Arizona, and Shawn Gerads of Seneca, South Carolina, as well as many grandnieces

and grandnephews. He is also survived by several cousins and was especially close to

his cousin Jamee Culbertson of Boston, who was born in the same hospital in the early

morning after Greg's birth just before midnight. He is also survived by his former wife

Carol Schreder Czech of Toledo, Ohio. In addition to family, he will be long remembered

by long-time friends in Michigan, Colorado, Arizona, California and Virginia.

Memorials in Greg's memory can be made to the Boulder Valley Humane Society, the

National Wildlife Federation or a charity of your choice.Gregory (Greg) Paul Rogers passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on June
