Mitchell Burton

Mitchell “Mitch” Burton, of Superior, passed away on August 9, 2023 at his home.
Mitch was born June 23, 1954 to Wilbur and Belva Burton in St. Louis, MO. He grew up in Florissant, MO before moving to Colorado with his wife at 28 where he fell in love with the natural beauty of the state. He worked for Ball Aerospace in Boulder for 30 years and retired in 2016. Mitch was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He enjoyed NASCAR, four wheeling, fishing, camping, and hiking. Mitch was always searching for the best hot sauce and liked to experiment with making his own.
He is survived by his wife Laura, daughter Sarah Burton (Shane Thompson), granddaughter Gianna Thompson, and son David Burton and his wife Angie Markous. Mitch is also survived by two sisters: Lisa Heath and Cindy Dalpiaz, along with several nieces and nephews.
