Rachel Nicole Domenico
March 13, 2025
Rachel Domenico, passed away far too soon on March 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and love. She was born on September 25, 1992, to Mickey and Lori Domenico and raised in Louisville, Colorado.
Rachel dedicated much of her life to the service industry, where her compassionate spirit and genuine kindness made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She had a special love for animals-especially her cherished cats, Harley Rose ("Sleepin") and Kit (affectionately known as Ki, Kiki, or Aki). She also adored the raccoon families she "adopted" at various workplaces, often giving them names and treating them with the same attention and affection as she gave all animals.
She had a poetic appreciation for the stars and the moon, often sharing photos of celestial events with family and friends. That she passed during a lunar eclipse felt poignantly fitting, as if the universe gently dimmed its light in tribute to her. Rachel expressed herself through doodling, coloring, and writing-creative outlets she enjoyed deeply. She always talked about writing a book one day, and while she never published one, she wrote multiple original songs and heartfelt pieces. As a young girl, she even won an award for her writing, a reflection of her early talent and vivid imagination.
Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Mickey Domenico; grandparents, Bonnie and Frank Domenico; grandfather, Michael LaSalle; and cousin, Richard Domenico Jr. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Lori Domenico; her sister, Sarah Domenico; and her grandmother, Marilyn LaSalle. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Though Rachel is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the laughter she sparked and the beauty she found in life's small, meaningful moments. Her family and friends will dearly miss her spontaneous moon updates, her lovingly sarcastic sense of humor, and the way she somehow made even raccoons feel like part of the family.
