Ronald Paul Swarztrauber age 58, was born in Boulder, Colorado on April 11, 1967 to Suzanne and Paul Swarztrauber, PhD. He passed away July 8, 2025. He is survived by his mother Suzanne and his sister Karleen Swarztrauber, M.D. who lives in Washington State.
Ron attended Fairview High School where he was an honor student and he participated in the arts, such as Excalibur, singing and dance group, band, and theater.
He helped organize and run the Mini Red Zinger bicycle race for youth in Boulder from 1980 to 1984.
After Fairview graduation he attended the fine arts at New York University in New York City, however, he finished his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Ron was a gifted writer often writing with clarity and brilliance what he could not experience in life. Those who knew him well appreciated his sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humor. He was reflective and self deprecating.
During his life he traveled with family to many countries. These included Russia, Norway, Sweden, Japan, all of Europe and beyond. He also traveled all of the United States during school breaks and summer vacations.
In lieu of flowers we request that you donate to the Ronald Swarztrauber Scholarship Foundation for Fairview seniors who show exemplary qualities in the arts and academics. Please contact Elevations Local Change Scholarships at foundations@elevationscu.com or Jennifer.hinderliter@elevationscu.com.
