Ruel C. Mercure Jr. died unexpectedly on February 10, 2022, at the age of 90.. He had an amazing intellect, a huge heart, a curious spirit, and a humble soul. He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Robert) and Sheryl, his grandson Alex(Kelli), and his twin grandsons, Erik and Anders. His passing has left huge holes in the hearts of his family and friends who will miss him deeply. The family request that any memorial contributions be made to the Physics Department of the University of Colorado.
