Scott Miyamoto
(April 21, 1969 - January 25, 2025)
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Scott Shunji Miyamoto. He left us on January 25, 2025 in Aurora, Colorado at the age of 55.
Scott grew up in Aurora, Colorado and attended Rangeview high school. Scott had a talent for drawing and was a gifted artist. At a young age, he created a lifelong passion for collecting comic books and art. After high school, Scott attended Platt Community College where he earned diplomas in Graphic Design and Production Art. He worked for many years as a Pressman at businesses like Sir Speedy Printing, AlphaGraphics and Print Pointe. He never lost his passion for comic art. He had his comic works featured in a published magazine.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Miyamoto and mother, Mary (Honbo) Miyamoto. Scott will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Jill Miyamoto-Ditmon and husband Pete, and also his brother, Mike Miyamoto and wife Cynthia. He is also lovingly remembered by his nephews, Alister and Lukas Ditmon. Scott has many other relatives and friends that loved and will miss him.
Scott was one of a kind and we are grateful for all he gave to us. He created lifelong friendships and was always ready to help anyone in need. He made us laugh at life and could also make you really think deeply about life. He was gone too soon and will be missed forever.
There will be a graveside memorial service to honor Scott at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, CO on May 17, 2025 at 10:30am.
