In Loving Memory of Susan Lipien
Susan Lipien, 71, passed away on June 20, 2026, in Austin, Texas.
Born on April 17, 1955, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Susan lived a life filled with creativity, curiosity, and love. She found joy in creating beautiful crafts, especially stained glass, and had a gift for bringing beauty into the lives of those around her. Susan loved music, enjoyed traveling, and embraced life's adventures with enthusiasm and an open heart.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband Bruce; her beloved son Cody, and his wife Daniele; her cherished grandchildren, Cooper and Siena; her sisters Jane and Peggy; and multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Dracilla Steffin.
Susan will be remembered for her artistic spirit, her warmth, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her creativity and kindness leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who know her.
Susan will be remembered as the best mother and mother-in-law Cody and Daniele could have asked for. Always up for a good time, ready for any adventure. Most of all, she was a wonderful Yaya. Her love for Cooper and Siena knew no limits.
A memorial service celebrating Susan's life will be held on July 23, 2026, at 4pm at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and celebrate a life well lived. Reception to follow at Cody's house.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation in Susan's honor to support breast cancer research and patient services.
Though she is deeply missed, Susan's love, creativity, and the memories she created will remain with those who knew and loved her always.
Goodbye my love, the Eyes of Texas are upon you.
