Troy Matthew Clayton
(1973-2026)
A Life of Art and Devotion Troy Matthew Clayton, 53, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on May 13, 2026. A man who lived life to the fullest, Troy was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, and friend who possessed the rare ability to draw people in with this profound talent of storytelling. He treated everyone with kindness and was a very generous soul.
Born in East Aurora, New York, to Kathleen Guest and Alfred Robert Clayton, Troy carried the spirit of his upbringing into every endeavor. He was known for his unique ability to take his creativity and transform it into something beautiful. His storytelling will live on through those who were closest to him.
Whether he was planning a skiing trip with his daughter, Magnolia, or dancing to music with his loving partner, Laura, Troy radiated love and light to those surrounding him. His legacy is one of connection, empathy, and the enduring belief that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places.
Troy is survived by his loving partner, Laura M. Allen; his daughter, Magnolia; his mother, Kathleen Lawrence Covert; his sister Jennifer Clayton and extended family including family Ragdoll cat Tillie Malone, a community of friends who were deeply impacted by his warmth and artistry.
